Gladys Louise Neely

Gladys Louise Neely was born December 20, 1927.  She was the daughter of Charlie M. Neely and Eunice Kelly Neely.   

She departed this life at her home in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 29, 2017.  She was 90 years old. 

Gladys graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1945. 

She worked for MidWest Farms in the accounting department. 

Gladys was a huge sports fan.  She followed the St. Louis Cardinals faithfully.  She held season tickets to the University of Memphis Tigers basketball team for many years. She also attended the St. Jude/Danny Thomas professional golf tournament for years.  In addition to being a devoted sports fan, she also was a member of a bridge club and canasta club.  

She was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church. 

Survived by – 1 brother – Frankie D. Neely – Jacksonville, AR 

Nephews – James (Jimmy) Cagle, Mark Neely 

Nieces – Iris Alexander, Kelly Maners, Sandy Neely, Jana Neely, Tracey Neely, Micki Patras, Marla Neely 

Other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Eunice Neely, a sister – Frances Cagle, a brother – Charles Neely, an infant sister – Dorothy Sue, a niece – Patty Neely & a nephew, Kim Cagle. 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Mattson officiating.  Interment in Little Prairie Cemetery. 

Pall bearers:  Jimmy Cagle, Danny Maners, Bobby Alexander, Daniel Maners, Corey Cagle, Bobby Swanson.
