Chapter 155: Cemeteries 

On July 5th, 2022, additional regulations and clarifications for the cemeteries were enacted unanimously by the Caruthersville City Council.

1. No golf carts allowed.
2. No dogs allowed.
3. No flowers or other decorations allowed on the ground, except for shepherd hooks or monuments with vases for flowers.

PLOTS for the following cemeteries can be purchased at our office:

Little Prairie Cemetery is located off Highway U between Ward and Truman Boulevard. This cemetery is owned by the City of Caruthersville. The City maintains the upkeep of this cemetery. Records are housed at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home.

Maple Cemetery adjoins Little Prairie Cemetery. The entrance is located off Highway U between Ward and Truman Boulevard. Maple Cemetery is owned and managed by H.S. Smith Funeral Home.

Morgan Ridge Cemetery is located off Pine Street, behind Little Prairie and Maple Cemeteries. Morgan Ridge Cemetery is owned and managed by H.S. Smith Funeral Home.

MONUMENTS

 We do not sell monuments or arrange for the setting or engraving of monuments. Monuments must be purchased and set by a monument company. on comment section
