Gladys Floyd
Gladys Louise Floyd was born in Waverly, Tennessee on May 30, 1929. She was the daughter of John Chappell and Lillie Margaret Pruett Chappell.
She departed this life in Paragould, Arkansas on March 13, 2021. She was 91 years old.
On January 3, 1946 in Piggott, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Calvin Floyd. He preceded her in death.
Gladys was a lady that loved life and enjoyed being very active. She loved people and certainly never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking and then sharing it with others. She was known for her divinity, chess pie, and fried pies. She also enjoyed picking up pecans and using them in her cooking.
Another hobby of Gladys was working in her yard. She always had beautiful flowers and a very neat yard.
She was a member of the Central church of Christ.

1 granddaughter – Jacqueline Frizzell and her husband, Cary
2 great grandchildren – Gretchen and Peyton Frizzell

She was preceded in death by her parents – John and Lille Chappell, her husband – Calvin Floyd, an infant son – Jeffery Dalton Floyd, her son-in-law – Dan Davis, a grandson – Marty Davis, four sisters – Ruth Chumley, Ruby Moore, Mildred Goodale, Margaret Manley and 2 brothers – Jay Chappell and Norman (Chap) Chappell.
Graveside services March 16 at 12:00 p.m. in Little Prairie Cemetery with Brother Don Reel officiating.
