Earl Gray Crain

Earl Gray Crain was born November 7, 1939, in Braggadocio, Missouri.  He was the son of Gray Adrain Crain and Elizabeth Felton Crain.

He departed this life in Blytheville, Arkansas on October 21, 2022.  He was 82 years old.

Earl had the ability to fix just about any type of engine there was.  He was the owner and operator of Crain Service Center for 20 years.  Before he became owner of his own business, he worked for many years at Brown Shoe Company.

He loved his family dearly and was known for his love of dogs.  He was a member of the Hayti Church of Christ and the Delta Ruritan Club.

He is survived by a sister-in-law:  Donna Sue Crain; three nieces:  Adrain Baker, Karen Crain, and Libby Taylor; a great niece:  Shay Harbaugh (Adam) and their son, Taylor; a great nephew:  Justin Shay and his sons, Taven and Dakota; a dear friend that he considered a son:  Jeff Davis (Tiffany) and their three daughters; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Joe Adrain Crain and Walter (Curly) Crain; a niece:  Lori Ann Crain; and his parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri.  Interment will follow in Maple Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning.  H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.

The family requests that memorials be given to the Caruthersville Humane Society.
