Walter Stephen Dale
Walter Stephen Dale was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 23, 1943. He was the son of John Stephen Dale and Edith Vivian Cecilia Bryn Dale.
He departed this life in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 6, 2022. He was 79 years old.
Steve graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1961. He was a very intellectual man that could work on and figure out anything. He finished his college career with an industrial engineering degree.
On October 3, 1961, in Blytheville, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Glenda Faye Perkins. She preceded him in death.
Steve was truly a people person. For over 30 years he was scout master for Pack 158, Troop 92. He also served as regional director of Southeast Missouri. He and Glenda had countless number of foster children. On holidays, there was always at least one armed forces person at their table for the holiday meal. He worked as an EMT for 40 plus years. He of course spent years and years working in the family business, Dale T.V.
Steve could be summed up as a very active community volunteer. If he saw or heard about a need, you could count on him to meet the need.
He is survived by six children: Walter Stephen Dale, II, Lisa Gaye Roberts, Anthony Wayne Dale, Jo Michelle Abbott, Rita Kay Black, & Nita Ann Dale; six brothers: Charles Michael Dale, William Joseph Dale, James Andrew Dale, Robert Eugene Dale, Paul Christopher Dale, & Mark Timothy Dale; 22 grandkids: Walter, Glenda, Roselee, Matthew, James, Tiffany, Michelle, Brandon, Amy, Amanda, Kimberly, Anthony, Kaytlynn, Scarlett, Bethanie, Lyndsey, Randi, Timothy, Gabrielle, Cory, Amber, & Kyle; 17 great grandkids: Walter, Wyatt, Dorian, Dillian, Lamarion, Tristan, Jordan, Aaron, Evan, Aiyana, Kayden, Owen, Luke, Marceline, Liam, Thaddus, & Alexander; and many other relatives and friends.
