Mildred Ann Cummings was born on March 28, 1959 to Sallie and Cleo Gilbert in Lena, Mississippi. At 60 years of age, Mildred went to be with the Lord.
Mildred accepted Christ at 13 years of age. She was baptized under the leadership of the late Bishop James Lane. She was a very active member of the Pentecostal Power New Life Deliverance Temple and the organization. Her spiritual works include, an usher in the national organization, local president usher, missionary, choir member, united ladies, general office secretary, choir treasurer, missionary treasurer, cafeteria worker and wives department.
Mildred was employed with West Tennessee Healthcare of Dyersburg, Tennessee as a Registered Nurse and a Case Manager.
She was a serious, dedicated, caring and loving wife, and mother to her daughter, Wonica. She was also a go getter and a giver, she would make things happen!
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Sallie Gilbert; her husband, Rickie Cummings; daughter, Wonica Cummings of Caruthersville, MO; two brothers, Dean (Alvia) Gilbert of Burlington, IA and Henry Gilbert of Oklahoma, OK; a sister, Tamitha (Andrew) Crawford of Spanaway, WA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her father, Cleo Gilbert and sister, Etta Lee Gilbert.
Funeral services June 2 at 11:00 a.m. at PPC New Life Deliverance Temple with Bishop Tommy Cobb presiding. Interment in Morgan Ridge Cemetery.
