Mavis Jeanetta (Teeny) Bond

Mavis Jeanetta (Teeny) Bond was born in Holcomb, Missouri, on November 4, 1933.  She was the daughter of Howard Max Rolens and Vera Frances Marine Rolens.

She departed this life on November 6, 2023, in Kennett, Missouri.  She was 90 years old.

Teeny was a very active lady.  She enjoyed going to dances with her husband, Wayne for many years.  She loved traveling and reading.  She played bridge weekly for many years with a local group.  She always served the community during elections as an election clerk.

She cared for her mother for many years before her death and has taken care of her brother as a caregiver for the last 25 years.

She loved her family dearly and was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Teeny was a faithful member of the Caruthersville Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three children: Ginger Gayle of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Tim Bond (Lisa) of Doniphan, Missouri, & Julie Cagle (Pate) of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother: Ricky Rolens of Caruthersville, Missouri; three bonus children from her second husband: Donna Brooks (Mike), Karen Clayton (Tommy), & David House (Cindy); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands – Wayne Bond & Cecil House, a sister – Wanda Holder, and a granddaughter.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 2:15 pm in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri. A visitation will be held prior from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel.
