Marilyn Jean Quinn
Marilyn Jean Quinn was born October 31, 1936 in Steele, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert Elleoy Franks and Virginia Still Franks.
She departed this life at the Pemiscot Memorial Health System in Hayti, Missouri on February 13, 2018. She was 81 years old.
On September 4, 1982 in Braggadocio, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bill Quinn.
Marilyn worked in the nursing field. She was the safety administer at the Caruthersville Shipyard for many years. She then became the administrator of the River Oaks Nursing Center in Steele.
Marilyn enjoyed life. She loved playing card games such as pitch and bridge. She was an avid bowler. Music was something she enjoyed in fact she was known to even write some songs. These hobbies were important but nothing was more important than spending time with her family. She helped them always to see situations with a “half full glass instead of half empty.”
She was a very faithful and active member of the Steele Church of Christ.

Step daughter – Michele Manley (Sherman) – Caruthersville, MO
A niece/best friend – O’Nita McClure – Steele, MO
7 grandchildren – Laura Nunnery Love (Ryan), Sherman Manley III, Jennifer Palmer (David), Eric Manley, Ben Nunnery, Nathan Nunnery, Derek Nunnery
9 great grandchildren
2 great nieces – Rebecca Coleman, Debbie Ledford

She was preceded in death by her parents a sister – Bethel Franks, and 2 brothers – Robert C. Franks, Avie (Whis) Glen Franks
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 17 at 1:00 at the Steele Church of Christ.
