Machell Woods-Bryant
Machell Celestine Woods-Bryant was born June 1, 1970, to the late Mary Alice Woods and Jessie Lee Cobb of Caruthersville, MO.
Machell attended Caruthersville School District where she graduated in 1988. She accepted Christ at the age of 40 at 12th Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joshua Black.
In her leisure time, she loved helping others when she could. She loved getting the family together and having gatherings. She was the cook of the family and didn’t mind giving you a plate on the holidays. She loved Christmas and watching everyone open their gifts. She was all about family no matter what. Most of all, she loved going to church to hear the Word.
On June 18, 2023, she made her transition.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Woods, her father, Jessie Lee Cobb, and 2 brothers, Anthony and Cleve Woods.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband – George Bryant of Caruthersville, MO, 1 son – Fernando (Nena) Woods of Caruthersville, MO, 3 daughters – Geortasia (Terrell) Morris of Sikeston, MO, Chraa Moore and Monesha (Albert) Bryant all of Caruthersville, MO, 3 stepdaughters – Georgia Ford, Antwanette Ford and Kapre Bryant, 4 sisters- Gloria Woods, Drunita Woods, Deborah Woods and Jessica Woods all of Caruthersville, MO, and 1 distant sister – Rosalind, 4 brothers – Jason (Loverna) Woods of Jackson, TN, Myron Woods, Gary Woods, and Dwayne Woods all of Caruthersville, MO, 18 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 24 at New Life Deliverance Temple Pentecostal with Rev. Joshua Black officiating. Interment in Morgan Ridge Cemetery.
