Letravius Wilburn

Letravius Letasmen Wilburn was born August 28, 1998 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lee Arthur Wilburn of Caruthersville, MO and Loverna Woods of Jackson, TN.

Letravius loved to be rough and daring and I let him be a boy.  He wasn’t scared to do anything!  We moved to Columbia in 2002 when he was 4 years old.  In June, 2008 he was baptized and became a member of 12th Street Baptist Church in Caruthersville, MO under the leadership of Pastor Joshua Black.

Letravius transitioned March 5, 2021 in Columbia, MO where he resided.

Letravius (Tank)  was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Johnny Honeycutt and Dorothy Jean Wilburn; great grandparents Clay Olian Isom and Mary Pearl Isom; aunties Vicki Isom and Loverne Brim; uncles Eugene Jennings, Otis Shepherd, Victor Isom, Clifton Brim, Stanley Brim, Issac Johnson; cousins Larry McIntyre and Koesha Rodgers.

Letravius leaves his one and only son Jordan Letasmen Wilburn (Ania Chatman) of Columbia, MO; nephews Brayden Wilburn, Ishma’el Lawhorn, and Romir Slaughter.  He cherished his two sisters Letavia Wilburn and Letasia Wilburn; brother Camren Wilburn, all of Caruthersville, MO.  He was blessed to have three grandfathers Billy Brim and Paul Isom both of Chicago, IL, Donnie Anderson of Caruthersville, MO all he admired.  He cherished his maternal grandmother Karen Anderson, his best friend, he has two great grandmothers Jessie Mae Shepherd of Caruthersville, MO and Willie Mae Brim of Chicago, IL

A very special friend, Tifani Spraggins of Columbia, MO and a very special big cousin Felicia Ricks.

Also his first generation aunts and uncles Auntie Carrie Shepherd, Uncle Dana (Susanna) Shepherd, Auntie Yvette (Pooh) Shepherd, Auntie Denise Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, Auntie Sheryl Crowley, Pearl Isom of Tacoma, WA, Patricia Dixon of Tacoma, WA, Darryl Shepherd of Orlando, FL, Uncle Herman Shepherd, Uncle Steve of Caruthersville, MO, Uncle Doug (Dewan) of Hayti, MO, Sylvester Jennings of St. Louis, MO, Edward Isom of Caruthersville, MO, Greg Brim and Willie Earl Brim of Chicago, IL, Mary Weldon of Inkster, MI

Letravius was his mother’s only son who had a remarkable bond and unconditional love for his aunts Paula Isom of Columbia, MO, and Karen Isom (Marquiese) of Olive Branch, MS, Carolyn Wilburn, Fairetta Peters, Janet Wilburn, LaVita Jennings, Tanisha Isom, and Tiffany (TC) Watson.  He was big on family and the love he had for his uncles Lorenzo (DeDe) Shephard, Torrance Shepherd, Everett (Jean) Wilburn, Trent Wilburn, Johnny Lynn Wilburn, Latravius Jennings, Monte Jennings, Paul Jones, Pierre Isom, PJ Isom, Omar and Shawn Williams.

Although he only has two sisters his girl cousins were more like sisters to him as well; Nakyiaa, Kourtney, Kamuria, Kaelyn, Aria, Chelsea, Indya, Allie, Diamond, Ra’nisha, Courtney, Asia, Laquisha, Tanasia, KiKi, Mya, Paris, Sapri, Saquiah, Renashia, Thomnisha, Quayla Roshannon, Kendria, Neicy, Johnte, Keisha, and Kenyetta.  He looked at his cousin Lorenzo Shepherd II as his big brother, cousins Ant, Roy, Toi, Kaleb, Eddie, Damion, Jerome, Tarenz, Torrance II, Akevian, Tyjuan, Kaleb, Lil Meil, Kaja, Khalip, Bobby Brennan, Lil JImmy, Lil Tez, Maj, Trent, Samuel and Darius.

As previously said he was big on family, his Columbia family Dre, D Brown, Baby J, Baybay just to name a few.

Funeral services held March 19 at 12th Street Baptist with burial in Morgan Ridge Cemetery. H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
