Jo Ann Morgan
Jo Ann Morgan was born August 13, 1931, in Braggadocio, Missouri to Arvle and Juanite Leath Newbourn. She departed this life January 24, 2021, surrounded by her family.
On February 10, 1947, she married Hansel Morgan in Piggott, Arkansas. This marriage continued 59 years until his death in February of 2006.

Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel; her parents, two sisters – Betty (Slick) Wallen and Jackie James; and a niece, Ann Wallen Wheeler.
Jo Ann will be remembered for her 40 plus years of service at the Caruthersville Public Library. She made many friends and acquaintances by going the extra mile to help patrons find books suited to their reading enjoyment. Up until the last days of her life, she was adamant that she had to go to work.
At Christmas time, Jo Ann would make divinity candy to share with friends and local public officials. Jo Ann enjoyed family and friends gathering at her home. She especially enjoyed quality time she spent with all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
Jo Ann was an avid reader and worked cross word puzzles.
