Harold Vernon Nolen
Harold Vernon Nolen was born February 27, 1933, in Deventer, Missouri. He was the son of Vernon Nolen and Mable Sams Nolen Huffman.
He departed this life in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 24, 2021. He was 88 years old.
Harold worked at Colson as a welding supervisor for many years.
He proudly served in the Missouri National Guard for 30 years.
Harold always enjoyed life. He loved spending time hunting and fishing. He played in a local softball league until he was 60 years old. He actually played “one more time” at age 64 in a game for charity. He loved telling jokes and spreading humor around.
He was a member of the Caruthersville Wesleyan Church.

- Tammie Moss and her husband, Lynn – Caruthersville, Missouri

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife – Shirley Brantley Nolen, and 2 brothers – Billy and Bobby.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 1:30 PM at the Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville, Missouri with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. The interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery. Family members served as pallbearers. The H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
