Ginger Ann Coppage Davis

Ginger Ann Coppage Davis, born on July 12th, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Earl Morrison Coppage and Zaida (Babe) Ernestine Coppage, peacefully passed away on July 13th, 2023, in Panama City Beach, Florida. Ginger was married to former Mayor of Caruthersville, Rick Davis.

Ginger is survived by her stepson, Chris Davis, and her niece and nephews: Leslie Roginski, Mark Coppage, Todd Coppage, and Colby Coppage, along with numerous great nephews and nieces, and her Cat, Freddie Mercury.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Davis and her brothers, Earl Martin Coppage and Gary Robert Coppage.

Ginger treasured the time she spent with her loved ones, sharing laughter with friends and family, and leaving a lasting impression on their lives. Her radiant smile, warmheartedness, and infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around her.

Her love for travel was unrivaled, always ready to embark on an adventure at a moment’s notice. She cherished every opportunity to explore new places.

In addition to her love for travel, Ginger had a deep affection for animals. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including antiquing, discovering hidden treasures, and immersing herself in the suspense of captivating movies alongside her dear friends and family.

Ginger was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where her spirituality nurtured her and provided solace throughout her journey.

Ginger’s passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever be cherished. May she find eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be given to the Humane Society (P.O. Box 1139, Caruthersville, MO 63830), an organization close to Ginger’s heart, where she devoted many years of her life in dedicated service.

There will be no public service, but the family will plan a ceremony to celebrate Ginger’s life. Details will be provided at a later date. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
