Geneva Joyce Privett Jones

Geneva Joyce Privett Jones was born in Hermandale, Missouri, on April 14, 1940.

She departed this life in Kennett, Missouri, on February 21, 2023. She was 82 years old.

Geneva was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. When she wasn’t working in her garden, she was probably watching soap operas. Loving animals was a passion she had.

She worked for Pemiscot Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper for 15 years before retiring.

She is survived by her five children: Billy Privett (his wife, Bonnie) of Hayti, Missouri, Jerry Privett of Caruthersville, Missouri, Brenda Gray (her husband, Dennis) of Hayti, Missouri, Ronnie Privett of Caruthersville, Missouri, & Terry Privett (his wife, Bridgette) of Caruthersville, Missouri; two sisters: Carleen & Norma Jean; a brother: Arthur Bingham; two grandsons: Dalton & Cole Privett; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Bill Privett and Bobby Jones; a brother: Lee; a sister: Louise; a brother-in-law: Carl; and a son: Stevie Privett.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the H. S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Pastor Danny Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Little Prairie Cemetery.
