Eugene Jennings
On June 9, 1950, Eugene Jennings was born to Mr. Sylvester and Mrs. Mary Jennings. As he grew into a young man, Mr. Jennings professed his love for Christ at a young age. As time proceeded, Mr. Jennings started his own family and became a wonderful and loving father.
Mr. Eugene Jennings battled sickness for a while and was finally called home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018 while at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was proceeded in death by his brothers, John Jennings, Leroy Jennings, and Henry Lee Jennings; sisters Georgia Cobb and Rosie Marie Cobb; children Eugenia Jennings, Eugene Jennings and Oliva Maria Jennings; one grandchild, Lovely Smith; nieces, Marilyn Parnell and Cora Gregory (Parnell); and nephew, Henry Jennings.
He leaves behind to mourn his death, wife Agnes Jennings; siblings; Maybell Weldon, Dorothy Jean Wilburn, Willie Bell Parnell, and Sylvester Jennings; children, Frefio Jones (Queshana James), Sterling James, Coretta Jennings, Angelo Gordon, Tatasha Smith, Jessie Thomas, Quesha Green, Preston Hall; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held May 5 at 12:00 p.m. at the H.S. Smith Chapel. Burial was in Morgan Ridge Cemetery.
