Dustin Wayne Burch

Dustin Wayne Burch was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 28, 1940. He was the son of the late Woodrow Paul Burch & Lillian Hazel Martin Burch.

He departed this life at the Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville on August 17, 2021 at the age of 80.

Wayne attended the Caruthersville Schools, graduating in the High School Class of 1958.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and continued his service to his country in the National Guard until February 23, 1966.

On May 25, 1962, in Caruthersville he was united in marriage to Judy Ann LaVelle. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2019.

Wayne was employed by Colson as the plant manager for many years prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville.

He is survived by his three children:  Keally Burch , Martin Burch, & Brian Burch, all of Caruthersville, Missouri; two grandchildren:  Nicholas Burch of Orlando, Florida, & Nathan Gilmore of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three brothers:  Johnny Burch of Mascoutah, Illinois, Ricky & Tommy Burch, both of Caruthersville, Missouri;  a special friend who assisted him:  Sister Sharon Miller of the Sacred Heart Church of Caruthersville; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Father Dominique officiating.  H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
