Donald Wayne Engelhardt, Sr.
Donald Wayne Engelhardt, Sr. was born in Ridgely, Tennessee on June 28, 1940.
He was the son of the late Grant Hastings Engelhardt and Cora Rogers Engelhardt.
He departed this life on August 23, 2018 at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri at the age of 78.
He attended the Caruthersville schools.
Don was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army and as a RESERVE in the Missouri National Guard.
On February 26, 1960 in Caruthersville he was united in marriage to Phyllis Dodson. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2015 shortly after celebrating their 55th anniversary.
He was a very successful businessman in Caruthersville for many years. He was a barber for many years and had a passion for cooking. This passion led him to own and operate three restaurants, D&P Family Restaurant, Don’s Clip and Cue and Don’s Place.

- Renee Engelhardt Smith – Caruthersville, Missouri
5 grandchildren – Dominique Harris, Matthew Engelhardt, Travis J. Harris, Pressil Hanna and Jack Engelhardt

Don was preceded in death by 2 sisters – Peggy Sue King and Ellen Talkington.
