Charles was known for his charming personality and always had a story to tell. He would tell his tall tale, then give you that crooked grin. He was known by the family as the fun uncle who always had time to play with the kids. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals games. He was a talented cook and if you ever had one of his steaks you remembered it as one of the best you had eaten.
Everyone that met Charles knew that his family was first and most important with him. He loved them dearly, and was so very proud of each of them. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters: Susan Franklin Beck (Jim) of Maryville, IL, and Charla Franklin Branum (Tony Shultz) of Kennett, MO; and two grandchildren: Chase Branum (Avery) and Taylor Branum Rardin (Andrew).
