Bruce Bookout

Bruce William Bookout was born in Watseka, Illinois, on April 3, 1960.  He was the son of William Bookout and Carol Jean Frerichs Bookout.

He departed this life in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 27, 2023.  He was 63 years old.

Bruce enjoyed camping and fishing.  He worked in the yard mowing business and always enjoyed a “cold one” after a hot day of working.  He spent many hours sitting in his chair watching the traffic go by and saying that they were driving way too fast. 

In addition to enjoying his family, he also loved his dog, Marley.

He is survived by two children: Cameron Bookout (Gwyn) & Jasmine Bookout, both of Caruthersville, MO; his partner: Robert Jackson; two brothers; two sisters; four grandchildren: Kody & Kadence Hopkins and Xander & Ariana Bookout; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation to be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 12:00 pm at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri.
