BETTY L. MOSS

BETTY L. MOSS 

Was born in Steele, Missouri on June 24, 1941. 

Departed this life on June 28, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital at the age of 77. 

She was the daughter of the late Floyd Smith & Glenda Capehart Smith. 

Attended the Steele, Missouri Schools. 

On May 8, 1959 in Steele she was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Cecil Moss. 

Betty was employed as a caseworker for the Division of Family Services in Caruthersville for many years prior to her retirement. 

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed Cardinal Baseball, University of Memphis Basketball and playing Bridge.  

Betty faithfully attended the Wesleyan Church of Caruthersville until her health declined.

Her husband of 59 years, Charles Moss, of Caruthersville. 

2 Sons   –  Lynn Moss (Tammie) – Caruthersville, Missouri

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM at The Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville, Missouri with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. The interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri. The Pall-Bearers were: Cody Moss, Caleb Moss, Mike Smith, Lamar Gray, Kirk Smith and Kevin Smith. The H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
