Barbara Ann Riley
Barbara Ann Riley was born October 4, 1939, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Joseph and Birdie Crosser.
She departed this life on June 18, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was 83 years old.
Barbara moved to Germantown, Tennessee, in 1972, where she was a stay at home mom. She was very involved in her children’s education and recreational activities.
Barbara married the love of her life and soul mate, JT Riley, Jr, 38 years ago. They spent most of their time bowling in tournaments and leagues; a passion they both shared. Her second passion was Memphis Tiger Basketball. She was a season ticket holder and if she was not attending the games, she was watching them on TV.
There was nothing more precious than her family. She would get exceptionally spunky when her grandchildren and great children were around her. She was always planning for the next family gathering and talked about her family to whoever would listen. Holidays were her favorite time of year because she knew everyone would be together to celebrate.
Survived by her husband: JT Riley, Jr; three daughters: Kathy Iverson (Jeff), Pam Anderson (Brent), & Carla Riley; three grandchildren: Taylor Iverson, Kelsey Critcher (Cory), & Rivers Whitaker; two great grandchildren: Braelyn Critcher & Ramsie Critcher; two brothers: Danny Crosser (Ann) & James Crosser; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: James Parkison, Jr; three sisters: Lorene Walker, Lorelle McGee, Peggy Stiles; and one brother: Joseph Crosser.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the H. S. Smith Funeral Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Dr. James Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow service in Maple Cemetery.
