Carl Rodney Fisher
Carl Rodney Fisher was born in Hayti, Missouri, on January 30, 1947. He was the son of Carl W. Fisher and Bonnie Jean Parker Mitchum.
He departed this life on June 27, 2023, in Houston, Missouri. He was 76 years old.
Rodney attended Caruthersville High School and then attended Arkansas State University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science.
On August 9, 1969, at the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sally Morris. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Rodney proudly served his country in the United States Army. He then returned to Caruthersville with his family and began working for Family Counseling Center as a Counselor/Therapist for the last 34 years.
Rodney enjoyed many hobbies – woodworking, collecting coins, and hunting.
His greatest pride was his wife, his daughters, his five grandchildren, and his dog, Clyde.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Sally Fisher of Caruthersville, Missouri; two daughters: Jenny Middleton of Caruthersville, Missouri, & Emily Trowbridge (Todd) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Emma Middleton, Fisher Trowbridge, Macy Middleton, John Morris Trowbridge & Bill Middleton; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather: John Mitchum; and his brother: Mike Fisher.
