Patricia Ann Slentz was born October 8, 1948, in Hayti, Missouri. She was the daughter of John Montgomery and Lena McCutcheon Montgomery.
She departed this life in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on March 5, 2024. She was 75 years old.
On November 4, 1974, in Caruthersville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Leonard Brady Slentz. He preceded her in death.
Patricia loved living life to the fullest. She worked hard at her job at Missouri Department of Child Support, but when it came time to be there for her family, that was most important. Daytona Beach was one of the favorite family vacation spots. She enjoyed working in her yard, getting her pool ready for her grandchildren, wearing cheetah print, eyeliner, singing Elvis and Justin Bieber, dancing and gossiping. Mema was hardheaded, protective, brave, bubbly, and always gave everything her best (especially her hair and makeup). Her greatest joy was being Mema to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by one son: Greg Slentz (Heather) of Blytheville, Arkansas; one daughter: Patricia Gibbens (Chris) of Caruthersville, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Kayla Dunkin, Lauren Poole, Kyle Towery, Emily Towery, Christopher Gibbens, Payton Gibbens, and Anna Grace Gibbens; five great grandchildren: Keeton Maxwell, Chrisley Gibbens, Sawyer Dunkin, Aubryn Dunkin, and lan Poole; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters - Kathy Davis, Diane Hudgins, and a brother - Johnny Montgomery.
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Brother Gary Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
