Norman Adams​

 

Norman Eugene Adams was born in Henderson, Tennessee on January 12, 1931.  He was the son of William Arthur Adams and Claire Oliver Adams.

He departed this life at the Autumn Wings Retirement Home in Schertz, Texas on December 17, 2017.  He was 86 years old.

Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was in the Service department at Consolidated Freightweight before he retired.  He was proud to be a member of the Teamster Local 618 for many years. 

On January 28, 1968, he was united in marriage to Christina Lytle.  She preceded him in death.

Survived by – his son Joseph Adams and his wife, Dawn – Cibolo, Texas

2 grandchildren – Danielle Adams – Schertz, Texas

Joseph Adams, Jr. – Schertz, Texas

1 brother – Larry Adams – Caruthersville, Missouri

3 sisters – Betty Caple and her husband, Gene – Fairmount City, Illinois

Brenda McKee – Chicago, Illinois

Neveda Gendron – St. Louis, Missouri

Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents – Art and Claire Adams, his wife – Christina Adams, and 2 sisters - Rythia Crowe, and Joallen Wolfe

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23 in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.  Interment in Maple Cemetery.

Pall bearers:  Joe Adams, Joe Adams, Jr, Larry Linnemeyer, Dan Travis.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
