Paul was born June 21, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was the son of Louis Maclin and Francis Foust Maclin.

He departed this life on August 21, 2016, at his residence in Caruthersville, Missouri.  He was 68 years old.

Paul attended and graduated from the Wardell school system.

On January 6, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was united in marriage to Linda Grissom.

Paul was a very active man and a very successful farmer.  He loved to go to the coffee shop and discuss all the current news and events.  He was well known for going on road trips and would bring back vegetables or fruit and then deliver and share them with other people.  Another hobby was going to farm sales and auctions.

Paul was a member of the Hayti First Baptist Church.

2 sons – Shawn Maclin, and his wife, Amanda – Caruthersville, Missouri

Josh Maclin – Caruthersville, Missouri

1 brother – James Maclin – Hayti, Missouri

2 sisters – Carolyn Grammar – Memphis, Tennessee

Mecca Tanner – Caruthersville, Missouri

2 grandchildren – Hunter and Kaitlyn Maclin

Preceded in death by a brother – Jerry Maclin and a sister – Mary Yeager.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 24, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville.  Rev. Glenn Davis officiated.  Interment was in Maple Cemetery.

Pall bearers:  Baughn Meredith, Gary Swan, Steve Watkins, Eddie Brooks, Don Grable, Glenn Gill.
