Sarah Patricia (Patti) Byrn​

Sarah Patricia (Patti) Byrn was born January 25, 1947 in Caruthersville, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Albert Marvin Byrn and Melba Bennett Byrn.

She departed this life at her home in Caruthersville, Missouri on August 7, 2017.  She was 70 years old.

Patti was a very devoted mother to her four children.  She read to them every day and played games with them.  She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.  Patti was the oldest of four girls.  Sometimes in order to get away from her sisters for a little quiet reading time, she would climb up on top of the refrigerator with her book.  She loved reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy books as a child. 

Patti had lots of different jobs including the biscuit maker for Hardee’s, working in the darkroom at the Democrat Argus, and as a respiratory therapist at the Pemiscot County Hospital.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

Survived by – 3 sons – Michael Robert Byrn – Cape Girardeau, Missouri

 

Joseph Patrick Byrn – West Memphis, Arkansas

Andrew Scott Byrn – Belleville, Illinois

1 daughter – Donna Jean Flesch – Springfield, Illinois

2 sisters – Joyce Byrn and Jane Lowes

6 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Albert and Melba Byrn, and a sister – Cathy Byrn

Funeral mass was held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart Church with Father Jaroslaw Skryzpok officiating.  Interment in Little Prairie Cemetery.

Pall bearers:  Tim Hilburn, Ben Hilburn, James Lowes, Joseph Byrn, Paul Dale, Stephen Flesch
