Billie Jo Brown

Billie Jo was born April 17, 1970 in Hayti, Missouri.  She was the daughter of the late Corrine Reed and Willie Brown.  She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmie Lee Reed, Joe Reed, Darrell Jean Reed and Willie James Reed.

Billie enjoyed working out, shopping, collecting high heels, and watching matinee movies.  She spent a great deal of her free time working crossword puzzles, listening to music, and dancing which she enjoyed.  She was a very outgoing person and enjoyed life to the fullest.  She kept an upbeat attitude and depended on God to make a way for brighter days.  She was hilarious and always had a smile on her face.  She was a special person to her family and friends.  She left a mark on any person she encountered.  She was employed at Caterpillar for over 10 years and enjoyed her work and making money.

She leaves to mourn her passing five children:  Three boys: Edward L. Jones and Anton D. Jones of Hayti, Missouri and Marion J. Rowsley of Kennett, Missouri and two daughters: Ajia B. Bibbs of Obion, Tennessee, and Shymia N. Brown of Ripley, Tennessee and one granddaughter: Cattaleya LeBlanc.  She also leaves to cherish her memory fifteen sisters:  Mary Reed of Hayti, Martha (Walter) Jones of Hayti, JoAnn (Mark) Crosby of Florissant, Missouri, Carol (Michael) Johnson of Hayti, Missouri, Carolyn (Charles) Lloyd of Hayti, Missouri, Bobbie (Malcolm) Hayes of Caruthersville, Missouri, Diane (Bernard) Cannon of Hayti, Missouri, Bobbie Joe Brown of Indianola, MS, Kathy McIntyre of Springfield, IL, Gloria Jean Kennedy and Earthy Gray of Pittsburg, PA, Annie Mae (Henry) Allen of Memphis, TN, Naomi Reed and Cora Reed of Belzoni, MS, Lorene Lovelady of Kennett, MO and five brothers: Luther Reed, Willie Brown, Ivery Reed and Walter Reed of Pittsburg, PA and Issac Randle of Hayti, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Home going services were held Saturday, January 21, at 12:00 p.m. at the Divine Holiness Church with Rev. Darion Thomas and Rev. Jamie Jones officiating.  Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Pall bearers:  Tracy Reed, Kendrickus Reed, Alban Reed, Quashawn Reed, Marion Rowsley and Charles Lloyd.
