Wanda Earlene Davis-Pate Pendergrass



Earlene was born August 6, 1946, in Waynesboro, Tennessee.  She was the daughter of Ealy Anderson Davis and Ruby Mabel Carter Fisher.

She departed this life at her home in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 7, 2016.  She was 70 years old.

Earlene attended the Caruthersville School System graduating with the class of 1964.  She received her associate degree from the Burdette campus of Arkansas Northeastern College.

She was always a very busy lady.  In addition to raising her 6 children, she also was very active in the lives of her 20 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.  She was employed by Walmart, Brown Shoe Company and the Pemiscot County Health Department.  After retiring from these jobs, she began keeping children in her home.  She also was known for her pies and candy making ability.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survived by her children – Angela Patterson and her husband, Perry, of Christiansburg, Virginia, and their children, Joshua, Elisha and Nicholas

Mark Pate and his wife, Brenda, of Caruthersville, Missouri, and their children, Christopher, Rebecca, Corey, and Caitlin

Timothy (Timmy) Bryant Pate, I, of Caruthersville, Missouri, and his sons, Timothy II and Johnathan

Kristy Riggs and her husband, Chris, of Caruthersville, Missouri, and their daughters, Allison, Sara, and Tatum

Scott Pate and his wife, Vanessa, of Caruthersville, Missouri, and their children, Chelsy, Brianna, Destiny, Taylor, Jayden and Carmen

Dana Lunbeck and her husband, Mark, of Caruthersville, Missouri, and their children, Mason and Payson

12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Mabel Carter Fisher, her father, Ealy Anderson Davis, her stepfather, Joe Fisher, a son Richard Alan Pate, sisters, Hazel Holt, Omi Morris, Emy Davis, Bessie Davis, Arrie Davis, Roxie Davis, Hester Davis, and brothers, Clade Davis, Taylor Davis, Richard Davis, and Jessie James Davis
