Allie May Klemp

Allie May Klemp was born August 29, 1924, in Lynn, Arkansas.  She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Wilson and Hazel Jones Wilson.

She peacefully departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the home of her daughter, Betty Meyer in Scott City, Missouri.  She was 94 years old.

Allie was married to Lonnie Guffrey Jones on April 26, 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death. On December 28, 1992, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she married Raymond August Klemp.  He also preceded her in death.

Her family knew her as a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She valued getting a good education and stressed this to all of the family.  She always said an education can never be taken away from you and with hard work you will be able to do achieve your dreams.

She was a long time member of the Church of Christ and later attended the Methodist Church and the Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.

Allie is survived by 8 children: Jo Ann Herrin and her husband, Claude; Cheral Darlene McLain and her husband, John; Danny Lee Jones; Norma Marie Moore; Mary Alice Copeland; Betty Kay Meyer and her husband, Michael; Lonnie Edward Jones and his wife, Ruth; Gretchen Lee Pembroke and her husband, Kevin.

She is, also, survived by 31 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.  Allie is survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Allie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one son, Delbert Glenn Jones, one grandchildren, Danny Lee Jones, Jr.; and two great grandchildren,  Kristen Millikan and Peyton Millikan.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
