Clyde Jones

 

Clyde Alfred Jones, Jr. was born May 10, 1945 in Caruthersville, Missouri.  He was the son of the late Clyde Alfred Jones and Mary Willie Vaughn.

He departed this life August 13, 2018 in Caruthersville, Missouri.  He was 73 years old.

Clyde was a member of the Caruthersville High School graduating class of 1963.

On January 24, 1966 in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Nita Carol Malone.  She preceded him in death.

Clyde was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan.  He had a love for both baseball and softball.  He also loved going to Boyette’s at Reelfoot Lake to eat.  Another love was playing croquet at the family reunions.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife

Funeral services were held Friday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.  Interment in Maple Cemetery.

Honorary pall bearer:  Johnny Barnett
